About the Event
Traumatised and disillusioned from the carnage of the Great War, former poet Peter Rhys, takes a position on the English faculty of a British University desiring nothing more than a life of quiet obscurity: teaching, reading and definitely not writing poetry. But his colleague Owen Williams has other ideas and the two men embark on a great journey, through the myths and stories of many lands - to see if life has meaning.
Baldur is a heart-warming story of friendship, death and renewal. Including poetry by some of the finest writers of World War One alongside tales from Greek, Norse, Finnish and Christian story cycles, Baldur is a unique blend of theatre, poetry and traditional story-telling.
MaLTS is a voluntary society that exists to:
- Investigate, celebrate and discuss the writings of C. S. Lewis and J. R. R. Tolkien and their influences on our lives.
- Have a regular focus on Christian apologetics.
- Celebrate and discuss good fantasy/science fiction writing.
- To investigate, celebrate and learn about the connection that Lewis and Tolkien had to Malvern.
